Pin Dude operates entirely locally on your browser. It does not have a backend server, and no user data is sent to us or any third parties, except for the direct interactions with Pinterest required to perform the extension's core functions (described below).

2. Permissions and Their Purpose

The extension requires specific permissions to function correctly. Here is how we use them:

• Host Permissions (*://*.pinterest.com/*): Required to inject the content script that displays Save/Repin counts, the download button, and the search copy button on Pinterest pages. It is also used to fetch public pin statistics directly from Pinterest's API.
• Downloads: Required to allow users to download images directly to their device when they click the "Download" button.
• Storage: Required to save your local preferences (e.g., whether you have toggled the overlay "ON" or "OFF"). This data is stored locally in your browser and is not synced to us.

3. Third-Party Services

Pin Dude interacts directly with Pinterest to fetch public data (like save counts and repin counts) and to download images. We are not affiliated with Pinterest. Your interaction with Pinterest's services is governed by Pinterest's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
